The Archer Courts Townhomes were constructed as the second phase of renovation and redevelopment of the Archer Courts affordable housing project located in the Chinatown neighborhood of Chicago.  The project consists of 43 townhomes and includes market-rate, below market-rate, and subsidized housing units.  In order to increase the speed of construction and thereby reduce labor costs, a system of load-bearing precast concrete panels and prefabricated steel bays was utilized.  Each three-story townhome has its own private garage, roof deck, and garden space.
