DEVONSHIRE REMODEL
Encinitas, California
Custom Home, Remodel
The primary goal of the Devonshire Remodel project was to bring some much needed curb appeal to the neglected existing single-family home. A large rotunda was added to the front, in order to define the entry which was previously hidden in a recessed alcove. Architectural features such as new site walls defining a small patio, a brick walkway and archway, and varied roof planes add character to the front. The existing large concrete driveway and parking pad was cut back to provide more site area for new landscaping. At the rear, the existing floor plan was expanded to create a large great room and master suite. A traditional Spanish style was selected in order to compliment this home's coastal location as well as to appeal to a wide range of potential buyers.
